This weekend, SJI’s Executives Peter, Cheryl, Teri, and Dawn will attend the National Rural Education Association’s Annual Convention. NREA is hosting its 105th Convention and Research Symposium in Branson, Missouri. The focus will be “A New Generation of Learning in Rural Schools.” With programs such as ihear and Local District Partnerships, St. Joseph Institute is seeing firsthand the life changing difference this new generation of learning brings to students who previously had little access to specialized services. We are proud to be Silver Sponsors for this significant convention.

Drawing on our expertise in serving children with deafness or who are hard of hearing in rural communities, SJI President Peter will sit on a panel discussion regarding technology. Director of ihear and Early Intervention Cheryl Broekelmann is presenting entitled “Tele-Intervention Meets the Listening, Language and Speech Needs of Children with Hearing Loss.”
