At St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf (SJI), we believe that all children and all families should be able to turn to experts who can provide therapies and support regardless of where they’re located, or what scheduling challenges they may face.
That’s why SJI has pioneered the next level of therapy for deaf and hearing impaired children with cochlear implants. ihear is an online therapy program that connects you with internationally recognized therapists in the field of auditory-oral education that’s available wherever you are with scheduling options convenient for your family and lifestyle.
A Family Affair
With ihear you have the power to impact your child’s education and development in a profound way through one-on-one coaching with your SJI therapist. As a a virtual in-home therapy, your family will be involved in the sessions and activities with your child. This hands-on approach partners parents and the ihear therapist to maximize your child’s therapy and progress.
Technology Made Simple
We’ve created an easy-to-use platform to allow ihear to be delivered into your home (or appropriate setting of your choice) and for your family to master the software. We’re here to help you every step of the way with technology set up, training sessions, and ongoing tech support. A “Computer Loaner Club” is available for those households without access to a computer. Ask us how your family can qualify to participate in this program.
