“One day our patients will be able to tell their own stories, and we will no longer have to convince naysayers that deaf children can listen and speak.
This year, we are pleased to present this prestigious award to our very own Executive Director of the Indianapolis Campus, Teri Ouellette, in her final year of service to St. Joseph Institute.
From her early start with infants to her work in legislation, Teri has been instrumental in building the structure of services for children with hearing loss in Indiana. Along with opening the Indianapolis school in 2001, Teri’s vision for certification impacted teachers nationwide and created a standard for education. We have created “The Teri Ouellette Legacy Fund” to benefit early intervention services in recognition of her distinguished career and help secure the future.
