St Joseph Institute has long enjoyed outstanding Board service by its committed members.  “I say it all the time but I’ll happily say it again,” says Zareena Koch, Director of Development.  “We have one of the hardest working and most passionate Board of Directors I’ve ever seen.  You simply cannot believe the time, energy and funds they give to our mission.  Some are retirees that work harder than when they were employed in the workforce!  We cannot express our gratitude for their sacrifice, time and years of experience they willingly give to us.”

And it’s about to get better. A recent study, conducted by consulting company Age Wave in partnership with Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management, found that baby boomers are 49 percent more likely than their parents’ generation to make an effort to find out how nonprofits use their money before they decide to donate, and 44 percent of them want to direct how their charitable gifts are used, compared with only 15 percent of their parents’ generation.
