The iHear internet therapy program assesses children every six months to track their progress in developing spoken language. The graph above shows the percentage of children enrolled in the program whose standard scores have increased. The latest data for June 2013 shows that 89% of children in the program have increased their standard scores, indicating that these children are making better than month-for-month growth. Making better than month-for-month growth is vital for children with hearing loss to close the gap with their hearing peers. Since analyzing the data four times (November 2011, May 2012, November 2012, and June 2013), the percentage of children who have increased their standardized scores has remained consistent over two years of collection. SJI is pleased that the outcomes show our dedication to excellence in education.
