Honoring 2023 Richard T. Miyamoto
Heroes for Hearing Award Recipients
Lisa & Brian Kovacs

Lisa and Brian Kovacs have made so many contributions to the field and to the children of SJI. Brian is a Senior Vice President and the Chief Information Officer for Walker Information, Indianapolis. He has served on the board of SJI for several years. Lisa is the Director of Programs for Hands & Voices, Headquarters and the founding parent of Indiana Hands & Voices. She is committed to ensuring children who are deaf or hard of hearing have the opportunity to reach their full potential and that their families get the support they need. The Kovacs journey began at SJI when their son, Anthony, was a student in one of our first Indianapolis classrooms.
