In 2022, St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf (SJI) identified an opportunity to enhance our current program model and advance Listening & Spoken Language (LSL) standards of excellence by establishing an organizational-wide LSL Advancement position. SJI recently conducted a national search for this position and is pleased to announce that Bailey Clay, M.S. CCC-SLP LSLS Cert. AVT will assume the role as Director of LSL Advancement on July 24, 2023.
“We have an excellent faculty and staff at SJI and this new position will provide our team with additional support to foster professional development and help us continue to provide exceptional services.”
This new position supports and collaborates with the Executive Leadership team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services by making recommendations on enhancements to align with evidence-based best practices and serving as an agency-wide resource on LSL therapy strategies.

“We were pleased with the number of high-quality applicants that expressed interest in this new position. Bailey brings a unique mix of professional experiences and skills that we believe are necessary in this role to help advance our LSL standards.”
