In 2022, St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf (SJI) identified an opportunity to enhance our current program model and advance Listening & Spoken Language (LSL) standards of excellence by establishing an organizational-wide LSL Advancement position. SJI recently conducted a national search for this position and is pleased to announce that Bailey Clay, M.S. CCC-SLP LSLS Cert. AVT will assume the role as Director of LSL Advancement on July 24, 2023.

This new position supports and collaborates with the Executive Leadership team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services by making recommendations on enhancements to align with evidence-based best practices and serving as an agency-wide resource on LSL therapy strategies.

“I’ve spent nearly a decade specializing in listening and spoken language working in a variety of capacities including data collection, outcome tracking for departments, and organization-wide assessments as a collaborative colleague to help close gaps and improve overall service delivery,” shared Bailey. “I am excited to apply my experience and passion for supporting other professionals in the field of listening and spoken language.”
