SJI was founded by six faithful women who believed so passionately in service they were willing to travel to another continent to serve the unserved. Our early roots shaped our mission and SJI is stronger than ever in service, faith, and hope. But what guides us? SJI’s values below are based on the Sisters of St Joseph of Carondelet’s beliefs that every human has purpose, dignity, and deserves unifying love.
