Answers to Registering, Tracking, Fundraising and Collecting!

REGISTER

  • Go to https://sjid.betterworld.org/campaigns/read/new-participant
  • Fill out your information.
  • Fill out your Page settings – Display Name; Create a goal you would like to raise; Appeal to Donors – Share a bit about your child’s Hearing Journey and/or about St. Joseph Institute; Check the I agree box; Click Register.
  • After registering, scroll down and you may add a profile picture or update your profile.

TRACK

  • Forms can be found above under Resources.
  • Reading is logged by the following age levels: 0 to 3 by book; 4 to 14 by minutes; and 15+ by page.
  • Reading Trackers are due to SJI by Friday, March 8.

FUNDRAISE
There are two ways to raise money while you read.

  • Ask family and friends to pledge a “by the minute, page or book” depending on your age. For example, if someone pledges 5¢ for every page you read and you read 100 pages, then they would owe you $50. You can get creative…1¢/minute or 5¢/30 minutes.
  • Log reading by the following age levels: 0 to 3 by book; 4 to 14 by minutes; and 15+ by page.
  • Provide the link to your fundraising page if Family and friends want to donate a flat amount.
