We at St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf (SJI) believe that children with hearing impairments deserve the opportunity to listen, read and speak. As international leaders in listening and spoken language (LSL) education, our highly trained staff of certified deaf educators, speech therapists and audiologists help children develop oral language without the use of sign language. LSL improves literacy levels and offers children the best opportunity for mainstream education and independent adult lives.
